COVID Safe Audience Information

Everyone at BATS Theatre Company looks forward to welcoming you to our shows.

We are monitoring advice from the Australian and Victorian Governments and will continue to update this page with the latest information about how we are making our productions COVID Safe.

We would like to thank you for your cooperation in assisting us with keeping the magic of live theatre alive and well.

If you are coming to one of our shows, we ask that you please review the below information to help keep you and others safe:

Ticketing – We encourage you to pre-book tickets via our website. Ticket sales at the show will be limited.

Get Vaccinated – All audience members are encouraged to be vaccinated and have booster shots when required. Please note: proof of vaccination is no longer required.

Feel free to bring a mask – Face masks are optional and we recommend wearing them where social distancing is not possible.

If you are feeling unwell, please stay home – Please stay home if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19, in isolation as a result of a COVID-19 diagnosis or awaiting COVID-19 test results, or are in quarantine by direction of the DHHS.

Ticket exchanges and refunds are available – If you are unwell and cannot make a performance, please contact info@batstheatre.org.au to arrange for a ticket exchange or refund.

Arrive early – We recommend arriving 30 minutes prior to the show start time. There will be no late admissions.

Undertake good hand and respiratory hygiene – Make use of the hand sanitiser that will be available at the entrance to the foyer and throughout the venue, and sneeze or cough into your elbow.

Practice good physical distancing – Where it’s practical to do so, please ensure that you keep your distance when queuing and moving throughout the foyer and auditorium. Signage throughout the theatre will help with this.

We prefer contactless payments – Refreshments and programs will be available, and will accept cashless transactions.

Please remain in your assigned seat – We’ll open the theatre as soon as we can to allow you to make your way to your seat. Please stay in the seats you have booked.

If a performance is cancelled – we will be in contact with the ticket purchaser to arrange for an exchange or refund. Check our website and social media for all the latest information.

We aim to provide a COVID Safe experience – We are making sure that we are cleaning the venue both before and after performances, have frequent cleaning of high touch points (such as door handles and railings), and have trained our cast, crew, front of house staff, and production team. If, during your visit, you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask any of our team.

If your question hasn’t been answered here or you have any additional queries or concerns, you can contact us at info@batstheatre.org.au
